EU Data Act 2023/2854

Last updated: 01-06-2026

In accordance with the EU Data Act, which seeks to ensure fair access to and transparent use of data generated by connected products, we provide clear and comprehensive information on how our SMART products generate, process, and make data available to users.

“SMART products” refer to Toyotomi devices equipped with connectivity technologies, such as integrated Wi-Fi modules, that enable them to generate, collect, and transmit data. These products can connect to external platforms or applications to support remote monitoring, device control, and other data-driven functionalities.

The EU Data Act is a European regulation aimed at fostering a fair, transparent, and innovative data economy. It grants consumers and businesses greater control over data generated by connected products, including smart devices and Internet-of-Things (IoT) solutions. Under the regulation, users have the right to access the data generated by their devices, share this data with third parties where desired, and avoid dependency on a single service provider. The Act also encourages interoperability between services and establishes fair conditions for data sharing. At the same time, it promotes responsible data usage, safeguards confidentiality, and supports innovation across industries.

At Toyotomi, we fully support these principles and are committed to providing transparency regarding how our SMART products generate, process, and handle data. We also strive to ensure that users remain in control of the data generated by their devices.
